I have heard that the Fibonacci series can be used in financial prediction - is that what the above program is using?

02/05/2003 05:29 AM by G Laight; Need Help Understanding Binary String Predictor
I have written a "Matching Pennies" game in JavaScript ( http://mysite.freeserve.com/grahamlaight/jscript/GuessWhichHand.htm ) which plays by learning from the opponents history. It beats all other matching pennies games I habe found on the web except for the binary string predictor at http://levine.sscnet.ucla.edu/Games/binlearn.htm . I have downloaded the program, and I have read the theory ( http://www.dklevine.com/papers/acalib21.pdf ), but I don't understand what the program is actually doing. Is it recursively testing game tactics? Although the program is short, it is not commented. Can anyone explain what is being done, please? [Manage messages]
