Respond to the question: HELP Pareto Optimum?

01/28/2006 12:13 AM by hansihans; HELP! Pareto Optimum
Hi Everyone, I need some help for a problem I'm facing for one of my classes. I'm supposed to use the Game Theory for a specific problem in Political Science. However, I didn't have any idea about the game theory, but i could finally figure out how the Nash Equilibrium works. But now I have to find out the Pareto Optimum and I have no clue how to do that. I searched for it on the web but I still don't really understand how to figure out the Pareto Optimum just by looking at a matrix. This is actually my matrix:

A C D
BRAS

C (3,2) (1,4)
D (4,1) (2,3) N

I'm pretty sure about the 'N', but if it is wrong, I would appreciate if you could tell me. However, my main question is how I can figure out the Pareto Optimum just by looking at the Matrix. I appreciate any help. Thanks... [Manage messages]
